The Data for Children Collaborative Releases New Workshop Report Exploring Approaches to Establishing a Social Licence for Uses of Young Scot Data

In collaboration with Young Scot, Futures and Design at the Edinburgh Futures Institute, and Dr Mhairi Aitkin from The Alan Turing Institute, the Data for Children Collaborative has published a new workshop report: "Exploring Approaches to Establishing a Social Licence for Uses of Young Scot Data."

The report shares key insights from a pilot workshop, held with young people to explore how organisations can build trust and transparency around data practices, while also enabling innovation, research, and responsible use.

The report details how through creative, futures-oriented methods, the workshop sought to uncover what a “social licence” looks like through the lens of young people, and what young people truly care about when it comes to data.
